Mythologically Me Again.

Giving you more about me … Mythologically speaking.

With my birthday 3 weeks away, i have begun to get excited, but also very introspective.

i told myself many years ago that if i wasn’t married with kids by 35 i’d throw myself a big party.

at that time, i wanted neither a husband nor a child. now as i approach that dreadful age, i have fulfilled half of what i never expected to have and i worry. is it too late?

A child seems like a natural progression of a marriage but with more and more people deciding to remain childless, it doesn’t necessarily feel like a bad thing if i’m not able to have children.

my only concern is with my husband. when we were dating, he told me he would be fine either way but as we age, and the possibility dwindles, will he still feel the same?

For now i’m just trying to focus on having a fun birthday. i’m taking a long weekend and i intend to have a relaxing 4 days.

i want to go out for a meal ( which we never do anymore ) and i’d like to go to the sunflower farm.

Let’s be real… I celebrate my birthday all month. (Yes, i’m one of those.) I’ll be planning a whole host of fun things to do all month.

35, here i come!

Mythologically Me again.

Hobbies are an important part of life. they keep us sane and enrich our day to day experience on planet earth.

Although i do love writing, crochet is my favorite hobby.

my grandmother and i learned to crochet together about 12 years ago. she was a knitter and did other crafts too but never crocheted. It was a great way for us to bond and gave her and i an outlet for our grief after my grandfather’s passing.

btw, anyone who says knitting and crochet are the same thing doesn’t know jack!

I’m no expert, but i feel like i could teach others the basics. it really is very relaxing and a useful skill.

My very favorite thing is when my cat, Sirius, curls up on my lap while i crochet. See my perfect boy below.
